I'm sure I'll have more thoughts on WWDC and the new Liquid Glass redesign, but on first pass... LOVE these monochrome icons!

Walking around Boston earlier this week and loved the light. Plus the Halide Zero-Process is my favorite way to photograph

I have a light work day today, and as small as it is, it's been **deeply** cathartic to use @5calls.org to reach out to my representatives in the House and Senate to air my thoughts on things happening in D.C.

It’s been a minute since I’ve been excited for a new product from Apple. But they finally released an update to the PowerBeats Pro and I’m wayyyy too excited to use them!

I’ve really struggled with finding ways to fight what’s happening - this post is a really good start. @kottke.org is a great place to start too
Democracy is Crumbling. Is Anybody Doing Anything? Sherrilyn Ifill has a list of what people are doing to counter the coup and more importantly, what you can do. I’m working on this one: “Make sure you have and can share good information”. [sherrilyn.substack.com]

Let’s gooooooo birds! I do not care if you don’t understand. I do not care if you think this is ridiculous. Those of us from Philly get it. So fucking proud of this team. So fucking happy for my city. Tonight, you are champions, and we love you for it. And you will never be forgotten.

As I continue my brain dump - 2 hour study sessions for review product concepts and gather feedback is ridiculous… participants really start to fade after an hour making the second hours worth of data kinda useless…

It’s been some time since I’ve been excited about anything in tech, but riding in Waymo One in SF this past week has been amazing! Definitely feels like the future is here

Just finished a client review of some mock-ups for a medical device. The client ultimately pushed for and chose a direction that incorporates a lot of color in the UI which is causing some usability issues.

Love the nerdy joy in this Veritasium video. Definitely the pick-me-up that I needed with getting back to work after the thanksgiving break

Today’s Work Music: A Groovy Autumn Mix
A few months ago, I posted about Lane 8’s seasonal mixes and I’m happy to report that the Fall 2024 Mixtape is now out. You can find it on Soundcloud, YouTube, and Apple Music. I’ve been listening for the past few days

One of my favorite features of Bluesky is that I can _easily_ switch to my follower feed and the app will keep my feed there. No forcing me back to the discover feed. No forcing an algorithm on me. Easy, approachable, transparent app design. Thank you @bsky.app

I love this photo that I took from a recent trip to Japan almost entirely because of the hand prints in the foreground
