I don’t think so, to my knowledge. There doesn’t seem to be a core bloc, so to speak.
Unless it was the 2d Cav, formed in 1855 by then-SecWar Jeff Davis, composed of mostly Southern officers

Lovely story here. Mama cat was skinny and scabby, picked out my sister’s farm to have her kittens, and now is surrounded by love and treats. And gray very fixed male cat has adopted them all as his little family.

Been up since around 3.45 when accused number 1 (left) knocked over a large framed 20th Maine flag off the wall causing a massive crash. She was definitely aided and abetted by accused number 2 (right) but witnesses could not place her at the scene of the crime
