pre-eli times i went years using my surname as a name, when i went to college ppl kept asking me what my name was and i remember being so confused i just blurted out “asshat” and for a short while i really was just “asshat” no one asked a single question…then eli settled and that’s how we got here

If you’re doing the “trans men in women’s toilets” gotcha, 1) you’re making what was always a crap argument 2) you’re revealing that you haven’t read the UK Supreme Court judgment because it says trans men aren’t allowed in women’s spaces (because we look like men) OR men’s spaces

i guess i’m here and visible and trans and HIV positive and proud of all those things…and angry at the tokenism, angry at the government, frustrated and exhausted, maybe a bit scared. Nonetheless i’m still full of joy and just about enough optimism 🏳️⚧️

the thing i’ve noticed most as a trans person living with HIV working in HIV is that there are no services bc funders say “there’s no need” or “there aren’t enough trans people” when at the same time i’m frequently taking q’s from clinicians unsure of how to support trans patients who are struggling
