I still think about how perfect Flickr's UI was before Yahoo! took over and started the enshittification process. Still, even after that, it's so much better than most sites. Instagram has been a shitshow since the start, and it still baffles me how it became popular or why anybody uses it today.

I have to say, the internet in general started to go downhill when it became popular to clean up UIs by hiding everything in menus behind tabs. When being "clean" took precedence over intuitive use, the internet began to suck fucking shit.

Absofuckinglutely the most monumentally fucking idiotic move any site has ever done. Literally designed to hide new work and destroy interaction. Why? WHY THE FUCK DID THEY DO IT???

I don't know who came up with that idea, but I hope they inhale a turd.
