Somewhat famously, William Castle (director of House on Haunted Hill) was not allowed to direct Rosemary's Baby.

What film do you think William Castle should have directed (and what would his gimmick for that film be)?

I was honestly surprised I could pull a print off this one as it was super thin/underexposed. #photography

This is the second roll of AristaPan that has shown odd grain clumping. I'm not sure of the cause, two other rolls came out fine. #photography Exa, Schneider Xenon 1.9/50, AristaPan 100 film.

How strange. I think, Sakura Film? The spool is stamped "oriental roll film". The only reference to such a thing I can find (in English) comes from 1956.

It's here!
And boy, am I disappoint.
Despite looking pretty nice, it still needs new shutter curtains, just like every other one of these, so now it's a long term project. Really sucks because the screws for everything are under the leatherette, so fuck.

My other bicycle. I built this is sort of an ideal for city riding. It's an old Columbia three speed which I put lighter alloy wheels and pedals on. Lower gear ratio and upgraded brakes. It has since gained bullhorn handlebars and Dia-Compe guidonnet levers so I can sit upright or sit forward.

Edward Elgar: the anime protagonist of composers. Encouraged by his friends, he never gave up on his dream of being a composer, despite a lifetime of setbacks.

At the age of 43 he scored the first major success of his life, with his Enigma Variations, music inspired by and dedicated to his friends.

One of the strangest cameras I've ever repaired. This Wards econo 35 was made in England by AGI. The construction and mechanism are more like what I'd expect in an old tape player, than anything I've ever seen in a camera before.

Quite stupidly stayed awake all night repairing cameras.
Unfortunately this one, an Olympic Four, made in Japan c. 1940, had a broken shutter blade and cannot be made functional again.

found this vintage drafting lamp, the construction of the frame is unusual, and the big thumbwheels for locking it in position are also quite unique. No idea who manufactured it. Couldn't even find a country of origin printed anywhere on it.
