Just a reminder this pride month that the national park service in the US still has transgender people fully erased from the Stonewall monument site.

Why the hell are kids on social media being instilled with the thought that they need to give their two cents on topics beyond them?
Furthermore, why are they then also resistant to the idea that perhaps they don't know nearly enough to form a nuanced opinion on what they chose to talk about? what?

It's incredible how much something being juuuuust a little bit more inaccessible can completely destroy your quality of life. In my case it's minor, but it's frustrating that the effect is so obvious yet no one wants to alleviate the unnecessary suffering that it causes when they aren't affected.

I have not known stubborness until I have tried getting nice hertzsprung-russel diagram from an open cluster that has what are most likely some unrelated foreground stars or some very stupidly bright ones.

I have not known stubborness until I have tried getting nice hertzsprung-russel diagram from an open cluster that has what are most likely some unrelated foreground stars or some very stupidly bright ones.

Fun Astrophysics Fact for yall: for most stars (think ones similar to our sun) they operate in a strange way to maintain energetic balance - say they're producing more energy than they're radiating away. the star will react by expanding and cooling down! that's where we get red giant stars :D

I would enjoy sharing scientific or philosophical information/knowledge/discussions to the people out there but there's a strange sense that I'm not allowed to until I'm entirely confident that there is no one else out there who has thought of sharing the same thing. Bifurcation is neat? maybe that.
