Might be why I like FTL even though I would usually say I'm not a fan of roguelikes. It does have random weapon drops and such but also lots of little random encounters and ways those encounters can go.

Yeah they are explicitly described as Arabic numerals in Michigan schools as well. Gonna be honest this post feels like a huge stretch, and a weird example of what is a legitimate problem.

Which is why the first and only job of the next administration is to make it impossible for Republicans to ever hold power again. At a minimum that means admitting DC and PR as states and throwing every single person in prison who has subverted democracy.

Dudes realized they never get held accountable for this shit in court so if they can browbeat everybody into giving up on the concept of shame then they are off scott free.

Extremely funny they say men want to look young and virile like Hegseth.

The most obvious indicator of revealed preference for where to live is property values, and those are VASTLY higher in large urban centers than in most suburbs.

Eh chain pizza is mostly fine, the problem is they all switched to DoorDash or Ubereats for delivery which in my experience has meant a longer delivery time with colder and worse food as a result.

Not as good as actual good pizza, but fine.

Not everyone but approximately every 1 in 10 Americans live in either New York or Los Angeles metros. That number is even higher if you throw in the Bay Area, Seattle area, and other cities with high housing costs. And those areas are also more represented in social media, hence driving the story.

It's certainly a possibility but in that case restrictive zoning laws should still be abolished and let the cards land where they may.

I think I'm pretty far above average in terms of how aware I am of politics in general and even then I don't really have any idea what the Port Commission really has power over or how it interacts with other parts of government. I imagine it's off the radar for the vast majority of people.

Fun fact, 4 of the top 5 longest floating bridges are in Washington. The 3 on Lake Washington and the Hood Canal bridge.

This is a bit like how assassinating Shinzo Abe actually worked.

The way I see it eventually we need to not have any billionaires. The "good ones " can give away enough to make that happen. As for the rest...

I feel like I have a lot of things going on that resemble ADHD but I've never actually had any problems in life so I figure it's a bit of a moot point either way.

It would seem to me to be absurd to suggest they are not important. But them being important is different from them being magic. Nobody thinks everything hinges on a single headline, but the unending stream of apologia has no doubt had some kind of impact.

Asking for explanation is a really powerful tool when dealing with misogyny and racism. It becomes so obvious how in the wrong someone is when you demand they explain why a racist joke is funny or demand they explain how a woman is "annoying" or whatever.

This is an incredible dumbing down of the actual critiques of both the New York Times and many other establishment news organizations.

Only reason she ever got in trouble was defrauding other rich people, and that's also why she isn't likely to get a pardon.

I'm in the south Sound and love going to Tacoma. Obviously Seattle has way more going for it overall but Tacoma is punching above it's weight in a lot of ways and is on the rise.
