I turn 40 in three days and am paralyzed from planning anything fun with people. I need help with some things but when I ask, its crickets. So tired of fair-weather-friends. Where are the real folks at? The ride-or-die kind? Physical disabilities can be rather isolating...

U.S. District Judge Jesse M. Furman has denied the Trump administration's motion to dismiss Mahmoud Khalil's challenge to his arrest by immigration authorities.
The emotional and empathetic part of me is angry this took so long. The logical part of me is glad they were thorough. I need to remind myself that not everyone can see the patterns and how the pieces fit.
In a scathing ruling, a federal judge has blocked Trump transgender military ban, calling it "soaked in animus and dripping with pretext." Judge Reyes says the ban demeans transgender people and lacks any legitimate basis.
