NEWS: Ward 7 Councilmember Wendell Felder is introducing emergency legislation that would delay ranked-choice voting, which is currently set to be rolled out in D.C. in 2026. His bill would mandate that Board of Elections conduct an assessment on what it would need to implement RCV.

The Trump administration inherited an economy that the Economist called "the envy of the world" in a cover story a week before the election and easily could've coasted on that success (again) but instead they set it on fire.

Uhhh, there are countless media articles doing just that.
Cotton on Trump's boat strikes: "Use common sense. If any of these had been boats full of fisherman or refugees, CNN would've already been on the ground & interviewed all their families & told their stories. We can be confident all of these strikes have been against cartel-based drug traffickers."

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

It is time for Schumer to go. The Democrats were in a stronger position than a week ago and the Rep threats only strengthened the Dem position. This is not a battle between moderates and left wing; it’s a statement about competence if you can’t keep the group together when you are winning.

President Trump's new Fed nominee claims he is independent — but REFUSES to admit that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election.

Doesn’t sound like independence to me.

And Americans will pay the price.

There’s no longer any pretense this has anything to do with crime (there are cities or parts of cities in SC and Ohio that have higher crime rates than DC — send the troops there!). This is about establishing a precedent for Trump seizing control of the nation’s capital when he wants to.
WASHINGTON (AP) — South Carolina, Ohio also sending National Guard troops to DC in further escalation of federal intervention in Dem city.

I don’t think I have ever publicly criticized any Presidential nominee before.

But E.J. Antoni is completely unqualified to be BLS Commissioner. He is an extreme partisan and does not have any relevant expertise.

He would be a break from decades of nonpartisan technocrats.
