My boys were both most taken with this stretch down the river. Unlike previous years it wasn't overwhelmingly busy, people seemed to be generally patient and understanding of one another, and I'm bowled over by just how sensible and calm both of them were. Honestly not used to stress free days out 🤣

Wasn't sure about going to Lumiere tonight but actually had a lovely time. Wasn't too busy and although the number of installations seemed reduced, we liked what was there. Boys loved it and behaved brilliantly. Littlest was shattered by the end so we came home after a couple of hours. Lovely night.

From an AI training course I'm in this morning (Co-Pilot). Yes, definitely worth destroying the planet to produce high quality stuff like this.

For my November crafty meet up with my bestie, we made Christmas door wreaths. Mine is absolutely hideous 🤣 It might end up going on the back door rather than the front. Loved seeing her though ❤️

Anyone else spending their weekend walking round a picturesque village taking pictures of Give Way signs because your small child has decided they're the most exciting things in the world, and meeting one in the wild is akin to meeting an A List Celeb?
No?! 'LOOK MAMMY IT'S A GIVE WAY SIGN!!!!'

I'm not suggesting for a moment that being plunged into a mental health crisis is good news for anyone, but it did make my husband pity me enough to track me down one of these ridiculous Wicked reusable cups from Greggs this morning because I saw them yesterday and said 'Oh I'd love one of those'

Google Photos seems determined to think that my youngest child and I are the same person and won't let me amend it, with the result that it often shows me albums of us together that it's helpfully captioned 'Me and Me'.

Cuddling into his little bunny after he's tormented me all day 😭 My heart, man ❤️

Had a day pootling around Newcastle today. Didn't buy much, but did get this Christmas ornament for my husband, depicting his favourite thing in the world.

Do you ever get mad rushes of love for someone for no apparent reason? Suddenly felt that for my best friend. An ADHD queen, she either texts back within seconds or never, she talks at 300mph, she understands and loves my complex kids straightforwardly, she deserves the world and I love her so much.

Mixed bag of a day today - went to Finchale, which is 9yo's favourite place, but he was in a foul mood and ended up taking off across the priory ruins so we had to leave early. Rescued by a walk into town and pancakes and tea in a lovely cafe instead. Home and snuggled now.

Phil's sister is going to Mexico for two weeks from tomorrow so her bunnies have come here for a little trip. It's nice to have bunnies back in the house ❤️
This is Bobby (lop) and Molly (cute paws)🐇🐰

9yo has started a new novel - this one is about martial arts. He's dedicating it to his brother - just look at this man 😭 It says 'If there was a belt for being the best bro, you'd get it'.

Please enjoy* this absolutely hideous shower gel that I know my 9yo will absolutely adore and so I bought for his Christmas stocking.

The way this was cropped for me 😭

Today at my monthly craft session with my bestie we made pottery sheep 🥰 Husband said 'Oh my God, how on earth did YOU make THAT?!' which demonstrates what my standard usually is 🤣 We'll paint her when she's dry (about a fortnight or so)

I love this flamingo that 9yo drew tonight ❤️

Devastated to say we came home from our walk today to find our dear little Ralphy bun had died. Littlest doesn't understand but eldest is heartbroken, as are we. He loved cornflakes as a treat, coriander, chilling in the garden under the cherry tree, and occasionally a cuddle. We'll miss him so much

9yo's drawings from tonight: a phoenix and a kingfisher (the bird he wants to see most) 😍

I can assure you, Google Photos, this is most definitely not my mam.

I've just finished this and I didn't cry but I wanted to and now I just feel empty and sad that it's over and for things that happened to people who died 200 years before I was born.

Been to see this babe.
