(IC resident here) The article doesn't mention it, but all the busses have extendable ramps allowing wheelchair and walker users greater access around the community.

I'm in Iowa City, and a lot of people benefit from this service. These busses all have lift ramps and seats that can be folded up to accommodate wheelchair users. The ramps are also extended to allow elderly people with walkers to get on the bus easily.

I'm in Iowa City, and something that isn't mentioned in the article is every bus has a ramp and movable seats in front to accommodate wheelchair users and the elderly.
