Not gonna lie, I kind of want to put a pickle or fermentation experiment on the back of the shlelves in the walk in kitchen at work and see how long it takes someone to notice.

One thing will need to change, and soon, for America to recover from this: The solidarity of the Republican party will need to break away from backing the worst policies that go against everything they claim they stood for.

I have decided that I need to do more with all the negativity and hostility I see in the world, and if nothing else, openly demonstrate to people, whether friend or stranger, that that is not who I am.

Made really good spaghetti last night and wish I could do a demo for people to show the taste difference from seasoning the meat first or season after the sauce is added.

The Iowa Legislature banned ranked voting in Iowa. Not that we were doing that, but it will need to be addressed that we have a legislature that specifically makes laws to target progressive ideas and counties, even for things we're not doing.

Leftovers turned into soup tonight - For soup you don't really need a recipe, it's like jazz, once you know all the fundamentals you know how you can improvise. Leftover spareribs, hoppin' john, greens, with beef stock, garlic, onion, celery and carrot.

The youtube playlist feature keeps trying to put songs together for me, which only sometimes works. The repeater spanning all genres of music- it tries to add Africa by Toto to almost every playlist. The algorithm must see it as a nexus point.

I see all these hard seltzer drinks in cans - if it was my bar I'd have a dedicated seltzer line with the sodas, then add flavors. Seems like that would be easier.

Food thought: think it's time to retire Tuscan as an adjective to describe a dish, it's clearly over and misused as a term.
