Like it's pretty normal for younger female leads in yuri to not have an established interest in girls but Sayaka being right there to contrast the other two makes it feel like it has a deeper meaning

A more typical interpretation that I've seen is that both Yuu and Touko may be on the aroace spectrum. I don't think this is totally unsupported by the text, given how they never talk about or exhibit a general attraction to women the way Sayaka does

Interesting that, even though the only girl Touko is ever shown to be attracted to is Yuu, and Yuu is only ever shown to be attracted to Touko, this user labels Touko as lesbian and Yuu as aroace

Yeah, "go to work" and "go to school" work the same way, with the emphasis on attendance. "She went to church" implies showing up for a scheduled event like a mass, but "she went to the church" implies she has some other business there, raising the question "to do what exactly".

I have a soft spot for KLK but more in broad strokes than in execution. Action-packed, almost all conflict is between female characters, no romance, outstanding production. I hate that female action heroes are assumed to have no mass appeal without humiliating fanservice.

Love that they're just worried about *sounding* transphobic

Oh wait, sorry, "lazy thinking". But something tells me you don't get so precious about lazy thinking when people say shit like "eat the rich". It's just women having class consciousness that bothers you.

Well, you just kind of announced that women complaining about men's treatment of us is bad for left politics, as if that isn't super sleazy to say. Not sure how else I can disagree with it since you didn't say why it was so bad.

I mean, it can't be all that important if you immediately reach for MRA talking points when women talk about how men treat us and think about us.

You know what's bad for left politics? Telling women that us complaining about men's dehumanizing attitude is a slippery slope to racism. It just comes across like you're telling us to shut up.

Given that you keep equivocating between misandry and anti-blackness throughout this conversation, we might as well be living in alternate realities. You seem to treat sexism like a hypothetical problem or one that communism will automatically fix.
November 18, 2025 at 5:47 AM
Sure, I would recognize it as anti-black (as ridiculous as that scenario sounds). But being "anti-men" would only be analogous to being anti-black if we lived in a matriarchy. Which we don't, by the way.

If you believe that all women who dare to mention that a lot of men view us as less human, are all screeching feminazis who think men are born evil... I'm sorry but you might just hate women too much to be able to differentiate between us as individuals.

No idea what you mean by that social process being "outside" (of what?) but yes obviously I see it as a learned behavior. Nobody else in this conversation implied otherwise, you just projected it there. It's convenient if you need to believe we're all rabid feminazis or whatever.
