Maga politicians live in a bubble. They believe that everyone has as little regard for integrity and legitimacy as they do. That cheating to win is okay. Most don’t.

The ONLY thing I admire about Republicans is that they pledge to DO evil things and then they actually DO them; no hand-wringing, no "But what will the Democrats think?", no "Mustn't rile up the Liberal Left!" They just DO them. Could have had Medicare For All but for their timidity and corruption.

The movement that spawned MAGA has embedded itself in our politics, and as you see, our Dems are unable/unwilling to put in a real effort to dislodge it.

In modern European politics Bernie Sanders would merely be a center right Social Democrat. In the U.S., anyone to the left of Genghis Khan is tarred as a "Communist". These sorts of things need to called out by reasonable people and swatted away like the pernicious nonsense that they are.
