I adore the idiotic territorial defensiveness of a Red-Winged Blackbird. One of the funniest things I've seen while birdwatching was a pissed Red-Wing watching a Heron hunt in its patch of Marsh. When the Heron flew off, the Blackbird pecked it in the back of the head mid-flap & the Heron SCREAMED.
