World Cup ticket prices seem to be totally at the behest of FIFA. Whatever price they are the stadiums will still be full and it’s a complete non story. Football has long since stopped being a ‘working man’s sport’ and quite a proportion of the seats in any stadium and bought by very wealthy people

The decision not to roll out prostate cancer screening by the national screening committee is a poor decision. I have a lot of respect for Wes Streeting but perhaps he can get this sorted as it costs a whole lot more if you miss it.

Perhaps all the great ‘Fleet Street’ political editors who told us all about the latest £20bn black hole and read it as gospel should resign in disgrace that they didn’t bother to check the detail. You know, the ones who told us everything was done because of the situation we find ourselves in.

Does opening a Chinese super embassy in London mean it will take less than a lifetime to get a visa from them or will you still have to visit twice and jump through hoops. Also why are Chinese airlines in general so absolutely awful at websites even more so than they are at inflight food.

The government jet is once again on its way to the other end of the globe. Joburg this time for the G20 meeting. This time they’re taking the huge jet so must be dozens of hangers on. Just make Starmer foreign secretary for gods sake, it’s not like he enjoys being here and now he has competition.

Lots of Labour journalists excited that the murder rate is lower in London.First of all it should be zero, secondly I don’t go into London expecting to be murdered but I do expect to be a victim of crime if I’m not sweeping the area constantly. See a tourist get robbed it might change your mind.

Wage bill at the BBC is getting slashed this week. Carnage.

David Lammy keeps thanking the emergency services for getting the wrongly released prisoners back into detention. They deserve the thanks but so do the public who actually spot these people. Why not just put extra patrols in the Finsbury Park area, you’ll catch them then!

According to the flight log, Starmer arrived in Rio at 7.30pm last night. The government jet then flew him to Belem at 7am this morning(3 hour flight). The plane is now leaving Belem for Stansted, he’s been there just 9 hours. What an incredible waste of money and fuel.

Awful atmosphere at the Villa game tonight, mainly because sport and politics have contrived together to make the whole thing pointless. This is why they should never be mixed. Fancy buying a ticket for this, you can’t even call it entertainment. It’s just a side show to the politics

COP30 currently being addressed by a Prime Minister who must have one of the highest mileage counts from all his private jet tours around the world. Come back and deal with the problems in your own country before solving the world’s problems or do you think there aren’t any?
November 6, 2025 at 3:49 PM
Just an opinion but watching the limited amount of news footage from Rio, William has much better presence than the Prime Minister. Maybe it’s because he was trained for it all his life, but he seems to have an ability to break down social barriers as well as having compassion for everyone he meets

Think someone in this government needs to put their head on the block for the mistakes going on in the prison service. Didn’t David Lammy say that the process of release would change immediately last week? You can put the strain on the system on the Conservatives maybe but not this inadequacy.
November 5, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Starmer has made a nice early departure from Stansted to Rio via Esparagos. Nothing like avoiding PMQ’s when the country would probably like some answers and we get the hapless David Lammy instead today. He’ll probably be completely pissed that his private jet is being used by the PM

Listening to the chancellor at Treasury Questions, I’m beginning to realise that all those supposed increases in my weekly shopping bill and all the negativity on the high street is just my mind playing tricks on me. Things are looking so good.
November 4, 2025 at 12:01 PM
Previous government blah blah blah, nowt to do with me guvnor. Getting us ready for a tax hike in a few weeks time. Another day when all of us voters without a political home just roll our eyes. It’s going to be such a great xmas.
November 4, 2025 at 8:48 AM
Another disgusting individual comes to court and refuses to speak and to confirm their name after killing someone and injuring others. This country is a joke, make them bloody answer and face the justice they deserve.
October 30, 2025 at 4:55 PM
Illegally renting out your own family home, must be hard being a multi millionaire, multi home owning member of the government that you just forget that source of income because it’s so minuscule. Still, put up income tax so we can never attain that level of wealth. Don’t let anyone else have it.

A fatal and horrific stabbing in Uxbridge, absolutely senseless. I believe this is quite near the area JOB lives and he claims along with his mate the mayor that London is safe. So, broad daylight walking a dog shouldn’t mean never returning home to your family. This is happening too often.
October 28, 2025 at 8:10 PM
The Vietnamese communist party general secretary is visiting the U.K. today at the invite of Starmer. I understand that trade agreements are good but this country like India is still really close to Russia, their government plane has even come through their airspace. Double standards.
October 28, 2025 at 7:10 AM
Starmer flying back into Wharton from Ankara tonight. Obviously set up for some good PR with BAE tomorrow. Let’s face it, seven hours in Turkey means he had little to do with the deal. Still should be a good distraction from what’s going on in the U.K. for a day. Should just make him foreign sec.

16% turnout for a deputy leader. That’s obviously got the members really excited!
October 25, 2025 at 9:18 AM
And now the sentencing for a murderer has been delayed because they need to spend another six weeks determining whether or not he is 19 as he claims to be. What a country.
October 24, 2025 at 5:30 PM
Releasing a prisoner instead of deporting him, that’s a pretty big error. Undoubtedly the conservatives will get the blame.
October 24, 2025 at 4:20 PM
The conclusions to two horrific court cases today. We’re concentrating so much on things going on around the world that the problems at home are getting neglected and they’re happening more often. There’s very little comment about it from those that matter.
More decent politicians please.
