Can’t see “American Canto” without thinking it’s about some American living in Hong Kong.

There haven't been many good college sports movies since 2000 huh?

Read the metric and full list here. What do you think is the best college sports movie since 2000? www.collegetowns.org/p/best-colle...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Here's a little story from the holiday when I was studying abroad in college:

Did salary expectations for college grads double in just 3 years? Everyone was dunking on Gen Z but I was dubious. Turns out, it was likely some change in the question. Survey design 101… www.collegetowns.org/p/china-will...

Professor notices the same things I was seeing re China and US trajectories.

US University - Funding? Maybe
Chinese Lab - Funding: Unlimited + Visa

FIRE has publicly decried the punishments and sent letters to university leaders.

It simply isn't true that they have ignored the issue.

Arizona Solar Farm (1975) sci-fi illustration vs U of Arizona's Tech Park Solar Zone (Today).

Robert McCall really nailed the look other than the giant watch tower.

If we want more kids to walk to school, we need to make our places more walkable. Starts with one intersection at a time like this one.

Saint Joseph’s College in Cupertino, California. A small Catholic seminary that never reopened after taking so much damage from the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Sad. www.collegetowns.org/p/college-be...

Incredibly, Trump is actually defending international students against the nationalist Laura Ingraham on Fox News.

International students are not taking spots from American undergrads at most of our top universities. www.collegetowns.org/p/no-interna...

Congrats to the LA Dodgers. Two World Series in a row! Was lucky enough to attend the parade last year and it finally felt like LA was a real city.

Public transit, density, and pedestrianization--LA should make every day like we won the World Series. www.collegetowns.org/p/that-one-d...

Yes, happened to me when I got to study abroad in Northern Italy. Changes your entire perspective on not just urbanism but life.

We should send more students to study abroad.

The humble local neighborhood trick-or-treat tradition is fading for the pizzaz of proverbial 'Halloween towns' fueled by social media.

What a shame. www.collegetowns.org/p/where-have...

Where are all trick-or-treaters? Destination neighborhoods.

These are the ones you always see trending on social media. They are wonderful, but they are helping to ruin Halloween. www.collegetowns.org/p/where-have...

Atlanta’s BeltLine is impressive. Abandoned rail line converted to bike/ pedestrian trail flush with commercial/ residential space.

This is what our urbanism should aspire to be. www.collegetowns.org/p/from-rails...

Good new PBS doc called From Rails to Trails about the movement of converting old abandoned railroad tracks into hiking/ biking trails in the US.

Nice classroom tool to teach urbanism, public transit, social movements, environment, and more

Idiot driver misses exit, makes a U-turn on freeway, drives wrong direction, and FILMS it all!

This should be instant ban from driving for life. No exceptions. Take the bus now. Walk. No driving again.

Will just never align with modern architecture values. These all deemed “masterpieces” on university campuses by architect magazine.

All uglier than any random Old Main on all pre-war built campuses. www.collegetowns.org/p/what-is-ho...
