Is it bad timing to be utterly knackered just before accompanying an orchestra on a national tour?
Yesterday, I baked some pumpkin s'mores bites plus this Biscoff fudge (way more than pictured), the latter of which I'm now transporting to the 30-piece swing orchestra I'll be accompanying on their Christmas tour. A truly lovely bunch of people. So heart-meltingly talented.

Just got out of "Who Do We Think We Are?", a series of talks at Theatro Technis (+ excuse to gather with food) about being a Cypriot working in the arts in Britain.
Cypriotness is complex, and with every passing year I realise how much of me is tied to it. An enriching, invigorating event.

* A pan face-down over a fire.
* Think of what you fear, the ritualist's hand on your head.
* Two caged birds close by.
* Water poured onto the pan so it hisses.
* Leap over that and the fire.
* The birds will absorb your fear.
