And now Republicans are for the second time trying to repeal critical parts of the ACA so quickly and with so little deliberation that legislators have no idea what's in the bill and can't tell you why specific provisions are even there or who supports them

There was a committee created from the no surprises act that basically recommended much of the structure in HB1088 that Polis just vetoed, but still no federal action to address the gap Congress left in the NSA

As we communicated with Polis, there is no data to substantiate this claim based on other states that have taken similar approaches. Impact to premiums negligible or nonexistent. Poor excuse for letting consumers continue to get hit by surprise bills that insurance should cover

The House E&C markup had lots of talk of how the bill will protect #Medicaid coverage for kids. But here's another cut to children's coverage along with rescinding rules increasing child enrollment and work requirements reducing parents coverage that will lead to lower enrollment among kids (8/x).

The latest reconciliation bill language out today expands the scope/harm, now penalizing any expansion state that has adopted the ICHIA option for legal immigrant kids/pregnant women. That's another 19 states who would have to increase their expansion spending or drop the ICHIA coverage (5/x).
