Hello @seamas.bsky.social Today’s observer column reminded me unpleasantly of suffering Impetigo in 1950’s Dublin. Gentian Violet painted on our gums was the cure. Don’t recall any other treatment. But if there was, would have been penicillin. Not anything else in early 1950s

Great to look back at videos from the summer like those family of Swallows which raised young in an artificial nest at the visitor centre on Isle of May. Hard to believe they’ll all be in Africa now!
