I sorta disagree with this take, but from a maintenance standpoint.
to me, the development of code is the starting point, it is how you structure it for ongoing care and how it responds to changing needs that make it "good", even past it producing correct output

the trafficking and SA is bad enough. the fact that there has been a whole power structure and media apparatus set up to protect these fuckers is worse.
the fact that same apparatus also works to exert control over trans people is no surprise.
