Riding a bicycle (slowly) around a pokey burg. Wave if you see me.
Pig is such a hypocrite. He talks the talk, but never walks the walk.

I hate to break the news, but law isn’t really a thing anymore, either.

I read The Water-Method Man when I was a teenager. The protagonist is Fred Trumper, nicknamed "Bogus". I thought it was hilarious when I was 16. Not sure what I'd think now.

When you dibs a parking spot, you put dinette furniture or a window ac unit or something like that in the spot. Maybe we can dibs bike lanes by parking our cars in them?

Drivers will use every physically accessible space. In Chicago, painted bike lanes are short term parking for Starbucks patrons, queuing lanes for carwashes, Uber pickup/dropoff zones, police lunch break parking, dumping zones for snow shoveled from sidewalks...

If only the GOP Senate could have done something to stop the destruction of our public health system...

Every day since November 2016...

My experience was mostly in Chicago and its suburbs. The city people were fun and nice, and I knew a bunch of my neighbors. The suburban people were also friendly enough, but since you all drive everywhere, you don't have much opportunity to interact. Most small towns seem nasty by comparison.

Many people are saying this. Not me, other people. Someone should look into it strongly.

Somalis never planned, incited, directed, and excused a violent coup attempt against the elected government of the US. Republicans did.
Deporting all Republicans is the only way to make America great again, as Tom Emmer demonstrates.

It's much better to walk or bike. Driving to the Grace St. store is especially...an experience.

Did I miss the part where all of the secretaries have to outdo each other in their worship of him? He's usually awake for that.

Trump continues to break norms, as he did in his unconventional J6 rally.

We have German bedding, i.e., two comforters side-by-side. Mine is always over me. Hers is always rolled up at the foot of the bed.

He’s always almost about to do the right thing.

Well, they lost, anyway. Not sure it was fair & square with oligarch money and RU interference. But those things only influenced the vote. The rally was not rigged; or at least there is no evidence of that.

It’s important to get clarification from staff about what the president meant before you judge what he says.

AI can do anything - except be trusted. Seems like a tiny problem.

In the US, I suspect women do not walk more than men, given that kids have to be taken by car to school and every activity. Still, we have other good reasons to care about clearing sidewalks and bike paths more than we presently do!
November 20, 2025 at 2:34 PM
The beg buttons on bike paths are always on the wrong side, forcing bicyclists to face/block oncoming bike traffic. Honestly, bike infra sucks so bad. Nobody designing it in the US has ever ridden a bicycle. Beg buttons on the wrong side, and zero-radius turns, are the bane of my existence.

People sense that he just doesn’t know any better. So why bother complaining? Our expectations are at the same level as his humanity.
