I'm shaking almost too hard to type. I entered SLC airport and heard screams and cries for help. I could see people gathered around, watching. I sped over to discover this woman face down on the floor, four grown men pushing her down, while she cried "HELP ME" and pled for her child.

Every city should do this. No place is as dangerous as a school when it’s inundated by car traffic.
Paris is protecting its children, using public space for the public good.
New York City should do the same: School Streets outside every school will create safe pick-up and drop-off, along with a bubble of cleaner air.

I'm not trying to tell you it's not going to suck but this is more or less what the path to most of the good endings looks like:
1) isolated, unpopular president with few allies
2) entirely transactional and lightly committed collaborators
3) deeply committed domestic and international opposition
