Am a Canada Dry girl, but think Schweppes did a straight (not spiced) cranberry flavor over a decade ago that mixed very well with vodka. Many 2L were consumed.

Kunjudo Pearl Takara Incense is my newest obsession (other than a patchouli-vanilla I get at World Market & burn in the kitchen after cooking something heavy).
My apt has to smell good. Not perfumy, but if I step in & detect staleness, I am unhappy. Even in winter, I will open a window for a bit.

stickless Japanese incense & I have tried several brands & scents. While I usually like the woody ones like hinoki or ones that smell like temples, he came across one that I shouldn't like at all. It almost reminds me of a Chanel perfume in the old-lady kind of way, but also, comforting, calming?

accused me of smoking pot. 😆 I had no idea it was also used to cover those smells! Then we discovered nag champa & it became my favorite for years, so much so, in Sacramento, I had a stick continually burning in one apt, & think the smell probably seeped into the carpet & walls.

I had rented it, unseen, long-distance. They came out & took care of it the next day. I don't play around with roaches. Storage containers. Plastic bags. Trash out. Everything sealed. Nasty little bugs.

I bet! I moved into an apt & luckily, our stuff was coming by truck, & we only had an air mattress. Our first night, when we turned off the lights, I heard a noise I'd never heard before. All up the walls. Ugh. Our cats were scared, even. The mngt co got the most hysterical phone call.

They would have had to let me off. IDC if we were on the freeway. Stop the bus, or I leave while it is in motion & hope I survive.

Oh, yeah. Something to laugh about 2 decades later. The mechanic who replaced them, a customer from my bar, marveled that I didn't break down in the desert or going over Golconda, they were so dry & brittle in my 20 year old Volvo wagon! Angels or well-meaning fae, I tell you.
