I am interested in politics and world affairs. I am left leaning. I love nature, writing poetry and songs. I enjoy reading books and have piles of them I have read and piles to read. John Boyne my favourite author but love reading all sorts of books.
This is why Republicans won't stand up to him because he has a meltdown and gets his henchmen onto that Republican. They are all scared of him. But it does feel like MAGA is breaking up and there are a lot of stronger people than Trump in the movement who could bring him down if they join together.

I totally agree with her.. I think America is further away from putting a woman in the whitehouse since MAGA started it's ugly ascent. The Democrats need to remember that when selecting next candidate. They have to select a man who will change the conversation in America to accept a woman president.

The biggest issue for me is free speech absolutists. The likes of Musk who runs a platform where racism is endemic and people's interpretation of free speech is that they can insult and degrade other people.Other social media platforms have followed suit and now racism has become endemic on internet.

I agree but they can't topple a Labour Govt because that has to be voted for by MPs and Labour has massive majority. So even if Starmer goes there will be a new Labour PM.Starmer has made a lot of mistakes and isn't going down well with public so next year it might be worth new Labour PM coming in?

I know MAGA were taken in by his lies and deflection when he got elected but surely now they can see he is deflecting from his involvement in the emails? I think MAGA's eyes are at long last starting to open even when Steve Bannon says Trump might be imperfect but he has divine intervention 🤮

He is so pretentious! What has Mars done to deserve having humanity like him going up there to ruin another planet!! He could solve world hunger and therefore migration with that money but he has no empathy for fellow humans. He just cares about himself and money. Very sad, lonely human being

The key issue is that Primary care still isn't working. A lot of people end up in A and E that should be seeing a GP but can't get an appointment. Hopefully the new hubs will allow people at weekends as well to be able to go there rather than AandE when GPs don't work at weekends (they should be!).

It was Labour MPs who put pressure on them not to raise income tax which doesn't make any sense! Income tax is fairest way to get money because those with more incomes pay more. They should have raised income tax by 1% + dropped VAT by 1% - no change in overall tax but more money + encourage growth!
November 14, 2025 at 8:45 AM
But what I don't understand is that Labour MPs were putting pressure not to put up income tax! Income tax was created to be a fair way of getting money because those on higher incomes paid more. I cannot understand why they don't raise income tax by 1% + drop VAT by 1%. More money no change in %tax

What is this man's obsession with beards? How does somebody having a beard stop them from being able to fight in an army?? I am thinking maybe he can't grow a beard because he is that sort of person isn't he - I can't grow a beard so that must mean that anybody who can is 'woke'!

Agree 100%. The issues it has need to be sorted but the BBC is a great institution. We cannot allow the likes of Farage and Trump destroy the BBC so that the likes of the Telegraph, GBNews, Trump etc can spread more mis information that sows hatred and division.
November 12, 2025 at 4:16 PM
From those of us watch the BBC this is welcome news. He was on the BBC far too many times and hopefully Reform will boycott the BBC as well so we don't have to hear them spouting racist policies and creating and causing division. Who does he think will care if he boycotts the BBC??

But it isn't coming from Starmer is it? It is coming from Number 10 and Mcsweeney is similar to Cummings in that he has far too much control. Starmer isn't doing well and he probably won't be there in a year but they need to hold it together so the next leader can last until election in 2029.
November 12, 2025 at 1:09 PM
Also it appears that No 10 (aka Mcsweeney) wanted to stir the pot and brief against Streeting. Not sure if Mcsweeney is actually actively trying to get rid of Starmer himself but through manipulation.... No 10 hasn't been working and has been toxic since he was in charge that is for sure....

I can't even listen to this awful man. He has sunk so far into the sewer for his career that he will never be able to get out. He would sell his own family in order to get to the top. Nobody other than the racist few are listening to him any more after his pathetic, inciteful, videos.
November 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM
If this is Mcsweeney he needs to go because he has had a massively negative impact on Starmer since Labour came to power. Maybe he is trying to weaken Starmer..Number 10 have had issues since the start of Labour Govt and Mcsweeney is the common denominator for the last 18 months. Time for him to go.
November 12, 2025 at 10:52 AM
I have wanted him to last until next year so the person replacing him won't have pressure to go for early election. But he has spent far too much time abroad where he feels comfortable. He has made too many mistakes here + he isn't good at communicating with British public. So it might be sooner...

Also true is that 99% of the time the BBC does a brilliant job at telling the truth. That is why there is a right wing media (supported by Reform + Tory party) campaign to destroy them. The Tory party have now sunk right to the bottom of the sewer where spreading hatred and division is King.
