Lover of lovely things, problematic takes, and my rescue dog. Hater of Illinois Nazis.
"Those" seems like a weird word to include in this?

This is so trashy. Lifetime movie meets prestige series. As if the booktok girlies wrote a TV show.

I was brought up on a side street
Learned how to love before I could eat
I was educated from good stock
When I start lovin' I just can't stop
I'm a soul man

More neat colonial era art. Both the second drawing and the one with the trees in the previous post were done by enlisted soldiers.

There are cheap recipes, and there is learning how to turn what you have on hand into a meal, and there is learning how to turn that meal into what you have on hand for the next few days. Enter MFK Fisher's wartime "cookery book and/or disaster survival guide and/or prose poem" How To Cook A Wolf.

I did not get around to watching anything last night, but I am happy with my 2025 Spooky Season viewing. Heavy on the 1970s and folk horror, with a dash of MR James & Stephen King. Can recommend everything on the list, either for the quality or the weirdness.
