I think that's a possible future, but I also think it's likely that people in the future won't need such a construct at all to give themselves permission to play.

This is a tinfoil hat theory but it feels like part of the intent is tricking people into viewing themselves as fully logical creatures that only do things based on reasoning. Easier to get people to do what you want if you have them convinced to ignore their feelings about it.

I bring up how i relate differently to these animals to show that there are many ways one can have therian feelings. There's no right or wrong way to have these ties to animality & not relating to others' experiences doesn't make u less real. Therianthropy is a catchall & should be somewhat vauge
