We learn a lot from our patient's kidney biopsies. In collaboration with Astrid Weins (Brigham), we identified 2 patients with defects in peripheral immune tolerance (no Tregs, ICI tx for cancer). Both developed anti-nephrin antibody-associated minimal change disease: karger.com/gdz/article/...
Genetic and Iatrogenic Defects in Peripheral Tolerance Associated with Anti-Nephrin Antibody-Associated Minimal Change Disease
Abstract. Introduction: Minimal change disease (MCD) is a common cause of nephrotic syndrome in children and adults. Immune dysregulation is a contributor, but the relative roles of individual compone...

Oooh pretty!! Many thanks to @susanallison.bsky.social and the entire staff of @natrevneph.bsky.social for helping @oligopain.bsky.social and me with this review. LOVE ❤️ the cover!!
Our cover for the February issue is inspired by our 'Guide-to' article on approaches to study the 3D and 4D genome in the kidney, written by @podocytes.bsky.social and @oligopain.bsky.social. Read it here: go.nature.com/4jvhZvo
