I don’t necessarily agree. I think the Dems were doomed from the jump. Incumbents across the globe were losing because of inflation coming out of the pandemic. It just so happened that they were the bums that the voters wanted thrown out.

Yeah that’s the part where it gets confusing. I think the higher up in a company you are and the more money you make, you do less work but you take on more accountability. There should be way more C-Suite turnover than there actually is.

Exactly right. The system rewards ruthlessness. If you have to lay somebody off, you can’t think about how that will affect their lives and their families. You just have to do it and do it quickly and efficiently.

I’ve always said the higher you rise at a company and the more money you make, the more of your humanity you lose, to the point where CEOs just start sounding like soulless androids. Wholeheartedly agree with this woke take.
