It’s the classic “evil werewolf lawyer curler” trope!
In the "Amusing #MilanoCortina2026 Commentators" dep't: One gent just described a curling competitor as "A lawyer by day..." And then what? He turns into a curler by night? Or when the moon is full? And what if he's "pure at heart?" (Or more interestingly, what if he *isn't?*) 😏

“Maybe a better way to look at this is ‘people preparedness’. One way for people to be prepared (for the next pandemic) is to be healthier, eat better and exercise, so you’re less likely to get sick or have a poor outcome,” Powers added.

Right. This will protect you from a novel pathogen.🤦‍♂️

The second reported endangered North Atlantic right whale death this year and it isn't even March. A 3-year-old female.

For context, scientists think these animals can live until at least 70, but human activities kill them so often before that it's uncertain.

Filter feeding by oysters reduces disease transmission in a marine host–parasite system
As a mechanism of the dilution effect, predation and filter feeding on parasitic propagules are hypothesized to reduce transmission to susceptible hosts and alter host–parasite interactions. In marin...

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Antonino Zichichi.

A pioneer of CERN’s experimental programme in the 1950s and the driving force behind numerous experiments, he was one of the most influential figures in high-energy physics.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
