Absolutely tranced out to the Orcutt/Corsano duo last night at the Bowery Ballroom. Tortoise was great, but the PA went out mid-set, and Jeff Parker was absent, though the stand-in guitarist did a great job all things considered.

The Dropkick Murphys and Bad Religion last night in Guilford, NH played probably the tightest sets I've ever seen in my life. 3 hours of solid energy. Happy that DMs played 'Going Out in Style' for the New England crowd and absolutely happy to take my 10yo to see them for her first show!

Notable "baked potato" Tom Smith front and center during his pre-To Live and Shave in LA days. During this time Tom front Boat of with Mike Green, Carol Levy, Michael Stipe, and others. He also had DJ sets at the 40watt and Crows Nest before leaving Athens, GA for Atlanta, GA and beyond.

Hot to Trot is a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, but I bought it for the latchkey kid with HBO in the 80's nostalgia. Dabney Coleman & John Candy are the best parts about this coked out film.

Checking on a few things in the Goods Unite Us database and was shocked to see Mrs. Meyers Clean Day leans heavily Republican. Won't be buying them anymore.

Trying to come up with a G-Rated reading of this vanity plate to match the elderly bald man in the driver's seat. 💦

At some point 20+ years ago, Tom Smith passed a copy of this to me after one of our philosophy courses at Valdosta State University. I popped it in on my drive home not knowing what to think about it since he gave me zero warning or explanation, but it changed everything for me. Thanks Bill!

This reminds me of this screenshot I grabbed off of YouTube last week from a British travel show episode based in Hamburg, Germany. There was just something about the framing and the colors. I'd hang a painting of it.

I'd just like to point out, for no particular reason, that there was a really nice sofa in the room where they met to the left of the Pope.

The delight of an April in New England is watching the mosquitoes be tortured by the winter gods fighting against the spring gods. One day it's in the 60s, the next the 30s, and a hearty "fuck you" to the little bloodsuckers!

Lake Winnipesaukee at 7am today. Still trying to wrap my head around 3am sunrises if Standard Time is kept intact year round.

Ida and Tsunami at the Bowery Ballroom were absolutely amazing tonight. Closing it out with Mission of Burma was 🤌🏻
