15 weeks to get a permit to bring any aquatic pathogen into the country. They do not tell you which organisms qualify as aquatic pathogens.

The problem is that the meetings often get dominated by it and there are not many talks about the biology of the bacteria themselves. So it makes a nice change to set it aside. I didn’t say immunology was bad, just that there is often too much of it.

Yeah. I bristle at delays to security/financial stability for young staff, especially women. Many of the goal posts are artificial.

My view is that when a situation like this or COVID inhibits the faculty’s ability to hit tenure targets outside their control, the decision makers should just factor that in in good faith. Obviously case by case and final choice should be in the hands of the candidate.

Should never be a clock extension. Factor it in and award (or not) tenure at the same time. Not fair to PI to extend the clock.
