Only my fellow type 1s know what it took to achieve even 75% time in range when dealing with an ER visit for a family member where you're the person who handles everything.

I'm exhausted, but everyone is home and stabilized.

Penelope ran into her study, flannel robe flapping around her, and pulled jars of salve and bandages off her shelves, piling everything into her nightgown as an impromptu basket. Running back to her bedroom, Pen faltered to a stop as she neared the bed and saw the man’s face for the first time. Oh, she thought, now that’s interesting. Shaking her head, she hurried across the room, dumping her supplies on the bed beside the prone figure. Pen grabbed a headwrap from her night stand and twisted it around her short and curly silver hair. Rabbit streaked through the air into the room, alighted on Pen’s shoulder, and began to hum a low melody. And then Penelope began to work.
