We are so lucky that our state was able to keep us open for one more month while Republicans and Democrats in congress play keep-away with our resources. Had we been in another state, I would not have the opportunity to keep working. Our families wouldn't have us as a resource.

I am just so grateful to be home with my dogs and my partner. I have had a good yet chaotic day with my preschool kids at Head Start with my co-teacher being sick. My manager had to sub because our program is being subsidized this month by the state during the shutdown and we can't afford subs.

My husband and I finally went on our maiden voyage in our folding kayaks today. Overall, it was so fun! Also, now we know what to modify on them and what we need to get for next time. (The blue one I posted before was mine, and this green one is his.)

More Lebanon Valley pictures. My first experience at this type of race track. Since this is Independence Day Weekend, they had a fireworks display before the last race. A 13 year old won a race in his category. He said it had been his dream since he was 5. I didn't even know they let 13YOs do this.

Had my hair in space buns today. Wish I took a picture of them before (they were looking super cute for the beach), because during the take down apparently I have anime pigtails. Snapped this photo because, need pics or it didn't happen. Face is giving "can you believe this nonsense?"

First time putting together my BOTO kayak model from TuckTec. Luna looks like she fits really well. Too bad she's scared of the water. I can't wait to CriCut stickers for it!

Fox squirrel skull under UV light. I'm sure it would pick up more if my lights were stronger. The crystal in the back is supposed to glow too, but that reaction is pretty weak. Also got an extra tooth!

Today was bath time for Luna. Luna hates getting wet! Here she is, rubbing against all the blankets after I towel dried her. Other than a few scratches and very slow and dainty escape attempts of putting her paws against the side of the tub, she actually did very well today. Brave, clean girl! ❤️

So, continuing my latest obsession with UV reactant things... these Sour Patch Kids were at Dollar General. They hooked me. Aside from why the candy company seems to think kids have UV lights, apparently the flecks are made from turmeric extract! Sure enough, our turmeric reacts to the light! Neat!

So, continuing my latest obsession with UV reactant things... these Sour Patch Kids were at Dollar General. They hooked me. Aside from why the candy company seems to think kids have UV lights, apparently the flecks are made from turmeric extract! Sure enough, our turmeric reacts to the light! Neat!
This is my dad when he was in high school, hanging with his band. Since it is Father's Day and he is virtually unrecognizable other than to people who knew him (and it is highly unlikely those people have BlueSky), I feel I can post it. Happy Father's Day! Look at my dad!

Ignore the rest of the mess, but this is what my cabinet looks like right now with my current collection of uranium and UV reactant things. The cable management is a nightmare right now but only because the plug is outside the door. I want to collect more small things and jewelry especially.

Look at thar color already! Making wild violet tea to turn into a deep blue violet simple syrup. One of my most favorite things to do during spring. This is the first harvest, so only one and a half cups this time. Waiting for more to open!
