Think it's a hamstring injury but club haven't said much about timescales. Possible December return has been rumoured.

I do think there's scope for Peterborough to improve under Williams but also like look of this game for Dons. Have bounced back well after setbacks and I always like stylistic match of an organised Jackson team vs a 'footballing' Williams team. 2-0 Dons.

Johnnie Jackson suggested players would have to earn spots in training this week after disappointing defeat to Gateshead. But hard to see past the usual league suspects starting. Lewis in for Bauer maybe only change from XI vs Burton. Browne/ Hippolyte behind Bugiel up top.

Williams said that Peterborough started fast/with intensity vs Cardiff and is targeting the same vs Dons. Wimbledon not always the best starters and can get caught out by teams that are at it from the off. Something to watch for.

Alex Bass in goal is a familiar face to Dons fans. Excellent keeper though stats suggest he's not had the best season so far. -2.9 on the goals prevented stat, third worst in L1 so far on that metric.

Tom Lees offers valuable experience at the back. Summer signing from Huddersfield. Now 34, played over 500 games for Leeds, Sheff Weds and Huddersfield. Can be a set piece threat. Likely to be partnered at the back by Tom O'Connor, on loan from Wrexham.
November 8, 2025 at 8:19 AM
Archie Collins is a key player for Peterborough in central midfield. Hardly missed a game for first Exeter and then Peterborough in last 5/6 years. Chips in with a few goals, most recently scoring the winner in a big game vs Burton.

Morgan, 19 y/o loanee from Chelsea, is top scorer with 3 goals. Leonard, 22 y/o on loan from Blackburn, got 1st goal last week. Lisbie (son of Kevin), 21 y/o signed from Braintree. Odoh,
previously at Harrogate, excellent last season (11 goals, 10 assists), slow start this time.
November 8, 2025 at 8:19 AM
Peterborough mostly played a 352 under Ferguson but Williams switched to a back 4 against Cardiff.

It was a pretty attacking line up with four forwards all starting - Jimmy-Jay Morgan, Harry Leonard, Kyrell Lisbie and Abraham Odoh.

Likely to see similar line up vs Dons.
November 8, 2025 at 8:19 AM
Change of manager means it's hard to read much into Peterborough's playing style data so far. Average 50.8% possession but expect higher under Williams.

Dons fared well against Williams' Notts team in L2. Won 4-2 while averaging 25% possession in a memorable game at Plough Lane.
November 8, 2025 at 8:19 AM
Defensive numbers are also poor. Only two teams in L1 have conceded more than Peterborough's 22 goals. Underlying numbers again a bit better. xG against of 17.3 is 14th best in L1. Rank 19th and 21st for shots and shots on target conceded respectively.
November 8, 2025 at 8:19 AM
Unusually for Peterborough, they have struggled for goals this season. Only scored 10 in the league, joint fewest in L1. xG of 13.5 (5th lowest in L1) suggests they've missed a few chances. Rank 18th for shots, 21st for shots on target.
November 8, 2025 at 8:19 AM
There has been some surprise that Peterborough are struggling but the signs were there. Finished 18th in L1 last sesson after playoff campaigns in the two previous seasons. And they've lost loads of big players from last season (Poku, Mothersille, Jones, Kyprianou, Fernandez).
November 8, 2025 at 8:19 AM
Peterborough sit 24th, rock bottom in L1. 10 points from 13 games (W3, D1, L9).

A 2-1 defeat to Blackpool in their last league game ended Darren Ferguson's 4th spell at the club. New manager is Luke Williams, who got off to a good start with a cup win over Cardiff last weekend.

Burton a tough team to call. Due to score a few more, also due to concede a few more. Rare game when Dons will be big favourites. Burton may look to frustrate, different challenge to overcome. But think we will. 2-0 Dons. Another for Bugiel and Hackford sealing it off the bench.

Most of Wimbledon's team should pick itself, assuming no surprise injuries. Only question probably at centre back - whether Bauer keeps spot, or if Lewis is fit enough to return, or does Harbottle start with Johnson moving to the centre? All decent options tbh.
