You probably had a lowland haggis, they're calmer and taste a wee bit better than the highland haggis. The highland ones spend all their time running round the mountain, only one direction though on account of their wonky legs...

If I understand my weather related lore, that's definitely Pudge the fish. He controls the weather.

When cooking a beyond burger, I was shocked that it said "cook to internal temperature of whatever to prevent food borne illness" because you totally can't get these illnesses from veggies (cognitively ignoring listeria from poorly washed lettuce cropping up all the time)

Originally, murderhobi but I actually change my answer, it's a hobus

That could not be a worse situation.

Well. Faf de Klerk holding the trophy again could be worse...

Still, being knocked out by Ireland would have been okay if they went on to win the damn world cup...

I've seen camels in person and you'll never be able to convince me there's any other kind! Gah, I narrowly avoided being spat on by one, vile creatures

That's getting close 😂

Mate, Scotland got put in a group with Ireland and South Africa...the fleas of a thousand camels can't be any worse than that lol

I agree with Louis on everything except England bottling it against Fiji. That'll just make me laugh!

I'm married with an 8 yo, in my third year of grad school. I think I'm one of a handful that are married and I'm 99% sure I'm the only grad student with a kid. The weekend is the only time I get with my family, like hell I'm giving that up for a couple more reactions.

From what I see & have been told, Bluesky is more social & less professionally orientated. I kinda miss the papers, personally.

You missed the chance for "Welcome to this tour of Bluesky, my name's Craig and I'll be your guide today."

I think you're probably right! I don't feel like I can ask anyone because they're all too busy with their projects, and I don't want to ask my advisor questions about what he might consider trivial

*if I'm not extremely disciplined

Anyways, if you're in the same position as me and feel the same way as me, I'm sorry you're feeling this way. It's crap and I'm sending a virtual hug. And a picture of a cute cat (not mine sadly).

And chemshitpostingsky.

Hugs y'all.

And I know I'm not alone in this, and I feel like I entered grad school in a position most likely to succeed. It's not even research that stresses me out, it's the expectations to succeed without fail. My PI is great (95% of the time) about expectations, but it's so culturally ingrained in the dept
