I'm disgusted that this rape case is being presented as new when 1) the documents have been public for a decade 2) when people like me would criticize Garland's DOJ for not pursuing Trump and Epstein, the same people hyping it now called us liars and conspiracy theorists. It's sickening to witness.

I remember thinking that MeToo was a much bigger deal than younger women realized, and that there would be backlash, but I've been shocked by how much. Telling men they didn't have the right to control and abuse women anymore created so much outrage.

It’s wild to think about how people feel that MeToo, Black Lives Matter, etc went too far as we watch the rights of women and the safety of Black people being further stripped away.
It is just part of the same pattern as we’ve always seen: any inch towards equality is seen as an existential danger.
