Even made a song about it - Little Man by Alan Jackson. Thinking about it further there is probably a deeper discussion on the commercialism of country music and the pandering to their audience on the picturesque idea of the small town.

My wife is Jolene. You would think that Dolly’s song and the covers of it would be all. Nope. There are at least 5 other songs titled Jolene.

Bob Dylan, Cake, Ray LaMontagne (also covered by Zac Brown), Cory Branson, and Spring Heeled Jack all have Jolene songs.

When my kids were younger and would ask for the heat to be turned on, even though it was on, I’d play Glenn Frey’s The Heat is On. We’d all do a mean version of an air sax solo.

I swear this is due to MTV2 having a promo for the video that played far more often than the video itself. Same for Coldplay’s Yellow.
