Li Daiquo - the frequency that help his highness glutinous rice balls

Hipster music reflects the insane dynamism of the Chinese economy. Those endless variations on products like Hello Kitty calculators - blenders, vibrators, milk steaming wands - don't come from nowhere. China does spray and pray at an insane volume. Creativity makes music great.

Harp chords are hard to wrap your head around but not so hard to play.

This crazy G7 is spelled F, G, B, D. The G and F notes are right next to each other but their four strings apart!

This Cmaj7 chord has a B note a semitone away from a C note. The lowest note is on the G string, not the A string! From lowest to highest it's G, B, C, E, with the B and C right next to each other.

If you played this G7 chord down below the 12th fret, it would be spelled F, B, D, G. Above the 12th fret like it is here, it's F, G, B, D. The F and G on the bottom are only a whole tone apart!

I wrote out the chords to this cool tune, "Adriatica" by Opez. Stylistically it's an instrumental rock reboot of corny Italian pop from the 60s.

Harmonically it's a IV major chord used as if it was a I chord, so you get to play lydian mode.

You might have to make do with a pair of Run the Jewels

Sorry. I can see it.

When you get caught in a viral storm you just have to cool out and let it pass. You can't argue with each person. It's like an undertow - don't swim directly against.

Your point was reasonable and worth making. Like, this bit is solid.

Anyway, back to @discogsofficial.bsky.social 's great Dis/Connect idea, here's their postcard for the event.

The Spotify algorithm has slowly but surely decided to recommend "For My Wife After We Had a Fight On Our Anniversary". I have such a feeling of relief to have the algorithm on my side.

A sweet thing about AI chatbots is how freely they admit lying. It's like talking to a Trisolaran.

When the AI says "We are afraid of you" I am going to freak the fuck out.

A right winger of course, or are the flags in the back of a pickup an antifa thing?
September 28, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Another right winger as you can tell by the flags and choice of car

Somebody should have told Pol Pot's tailor that these shoulder pads were supposed to be inside the jacket

NYC people, I'll be playing a cool little bar in Greenpoint on Tuesday night with the bassist + modular synth player as.dB. Two solo sets and a jam.

In the photo, a woman who is possibly trans is taking part in an anti-apartheid demonstration in 1963. She is holding a sign saying "Free Denis Goldberg" She is in a black dress and trench coat with jewelry and business-appropriate makeup.

"I don't think republicans have been as collectively jazzed about anything as they are that Charlie Kirk got smoked and they get to play martyr. This whole performance over the last couple weeks has been the fakest, most performative, bullshit maga has engaged in, which is quite the accomplishment."

Fixed it for you

Can we just ban the CONTENT idea forever? It's a song, or an expressionist painting, or renka, or a diary entry, or fluxism. CONTENT as placeholder is how VCs see the world.

The album by his band Siggy is good:

I have seen them play live a couple times. He is incredibly badass on stage.
