Worth saying, a lot of quiet dismissive, unpleasant assumptions & attitudes about ‘straight, white, male Boomers,’ let alone conservatives (okay, he’s *just* pre-Boomer). Maybe a good moment to remember that the preconceived notions we hold about each other are rarely a fair & accurate summation.

Quickly, quietly, approach & overwhelm so this git doesn’t have a chance to draw his weapon and start letting bullets fly when there’s crowds of civilians everywhere. Also, hope feds take note that these officers weren’t on duty with face-coverings, bc that’s hostile - unless medically necessary.

So glad your illness is finally being recognised. It’s such a fight to get a word, a term, but it’s so vital for getting access to services and support. Hope now this fight is behind you, things get a little easier.

So one of the things I’m never sure off when I see someone blind and on their own, trying to negotiate a bathroom or a road crossing (with uneven surfaces, potholes etc.) is whether to offer help? Lots of blind/near-blind people cope amazingly and I don’t want to be patronising 🤷‍♀️
