mostly, i find it useful to keep a functional windows install around, because there's a lot of windows-only utilities and applications and sometimes i gotta use em. "why not just use a VM/wine/whatever" sometimes i don't wanna wrestle with that (and also my computers can't give VMs enough juice)

many people will think i'm insane for this but i do genuinely prefer win11 over win10, with a *very* important caveat: i have run win11debloat and forcibly removed a lot of the crap. and also it's not my primary OS anymore anyway

i've been subsisting entirely off recommendations from friends... i have no idea how to seek out music on my own because there is So Much out there and i'm easily overwhelmed. but every now and then i listen to a rec and think "hey this is pretty damn good"

i'm still learning more about computers because i *want* to. but i'm constantly aware of how little experience i have with hands-on work, whether that's for hardware or linux etc. i feel like everyone else has 15+ years on me. i had my reasons for not pursuing it sooner, but i feel so... Behind

i am honestly more clumsy with hardware than i'd like to admit—please don't ask about my track record with stripped screws—even though i try my absolute hardest to meticulously research ahead of time. sometimes i wonder what life would be like if i went into computers over art
