Elderly rural resident surrounded by MAGA who hate that my Harris/Walz sign is still up. Knitter, weaver, spinner and avid gardener, kayaker and hiker.
Have you tried any of the General Hogbuffer sock patterns? My favorite is Stripe Tease.
I also used to knit a lot of the mystery sock patterns from Sock Knitters Anonymous group of Ravelry.

Spokane WA had a much bigger turnout than June. Police estimate 9-11,000 people and the number of cars that went by honking in support was incredible. We spread more than a mile up and down Division St on both sides and the park was teeming with people. No violence according to police.

From the left is the Rambouillet yarn 2 different shades from different vats, next is banana silk, followed by mulberry silk and last is tussah silk that I dyed as top and then spun. This is the result from 2 different dyeing sessions. I plan to use all but the wool for weaving projects.

Here's a couple of photos of one batch of handspun Rambouillet yarn that I dyed in 2021. It took me all day to get the vat ready for dyeing. I used the instructions from Rita Buchanan's A Dyer's Garden. I next plan to dye using instructions from John Marshall's Singing the Blues.

Been spinning quite a bit while I wait for knee replacement surgery. Colorway is Stillness Speaks. The fiber is 1/3 each cashmere/tussah silk/polwarth and is a 2ply laceweight yarn.
Next I'm spinning the same fiber blend but in a colorway Evil Witch.🧶
