I play the trumpet to an adequate standard and occasionally post pictures of things that amuse me in Dublin.

Sorry you probably see a zillion research projects but GEMS being run out of Trinity College (with Warwick as partners) has been looking specifically at the gaming example (and mitigation measures) via an EU funded project. www.projectgems.eu. May be of interest to those who are interested...

It would also be good if people with relevant power could ask themselves whether a policy of providing arts and other public spaces through insisting it be provided by grudging private developers doing the bare minimum (if that) to comply is working well.
I would suggest that it is not working well

That's great. Thanks for the update. The pipeline looks a really interesting resource - will have to have a proper look through.

For a residents' association in quite a mixed area it's very difficult advocating on behalf of all residents rather than just the ones who get directly involved (mostly but not exclusively home-owners, Irish/white, reasonably well educated). I'm not sure what solutions there are for that.

The Clash -> London Calling and Bleach -> Nevermind both seem quite steep rises, different tastes notwithstanding.

thanks for this. I was semi regular and it's very disappointing that Dublin can't seem to support this sort of endeavour.

They should take over O'Brennans (I don't mean rent it - just take it over as whoever owns it obviously has no interest in using it).
