But what about my platformer? Shouldn't I at least finish that one before? I don't know. I'm still deciding on what project is worth more persuading at the time. Aarrggh! 😫
Maybe I just shrink the scope of the platformer way down to a microscopic level just to finally finish a game?

Too bad you had to abandon it. I don't usually play shooters, but this looks very appealing. And the gyro controls are really impressive and innovative for the genre!

unfortunately, I don't have the (working) version without it anymore. But I wonder if it even was the right decision in the first place...

not only did you make me get into git, but also made me switch to Linux on my secondary device. 👍

Maybe I have to learn it the hard way some day. 😅

Thanks, that really helps!

I just see some problems with it. It's definitely mandatory if you're making a fighting game with lots of attacks and combinations, but for my 2d platformer it could be a bit... over the top? It also gets a bit janky if functionality of multiple states "stacks".

That's one way to do it

Let's see if I'll learn from my mistakes. 😅
As for now the state machine version isn't really that much cleaner to work with in my case. Maybe It's going to be a long term payoff.

Do you sometimes (or systematically) delete old backups?
