Incorrect. The Na'vi are losing the battle until Pandora's wildlife universally attack the Sky People. Jake doesn't do anything except unite the clans and initiate the battle. Not a Messiah.
Further, you haven't even acknowledged the sequels where there is an actual Messiah, Kiri.

The Grinch is gentrified Scrooge. A Christmas Carol stripped of that depressing poverty and demand to be charitable instead of merely social for the holidays.

Paraphrasing Chapo here, but the argument is the Avatar films believe in 2 versions of life after death: becoming one with the spirits of the world, or being crudely uploaded into a false body to serve the interests of capital. Racial politics is beneath Cameron's intent.

So? He gives up everything from the old world, including his literal body, and embraces the new world wholeheartedly. And he's not special because it happens to a different character in every movie.

You're not thinking like a co-conspirator. It's just enough suspicious evidence to wound his reputation but not enough damning evidence to make Bill go 'fuck it' and have him produce his own personal photos.

I like how in movie titles 'American' is a prefix adjective that denotes the subject is particularly wrong. American Sniper, American Psycho, American Ninja, American Pie etc.
