I have solved the mystery of the autism epidemic:
Online dating.
Thanks to online dating, autistic people have been able to hook up at increasing rates. We are now populating the world with our double-autistic offspring.

If you thought that in Canada, fully credentialed physicians wouldn’t be spreading disinformation like this on their social media, you’d be wrong.
To quote Dr. Hart “that’s insanely irresponsible.”

Now that I know it’s out in the wild, I can show off my @lhscri poster!
Two fun facts:
1. The ultrasound picture in the background is actually my youngest son
2. The white lab coat is a loaner, since I haven’t worn one of those in over a decade!

Last night we celebrated the graduation of our senior MFM fellow, Dr. Ruqaiya Al Sulaimani (top right). She will soon return to Oman to start the next chapter of her career. The future of MFM is in great hands!

This is the first-ever picture of me! The image shown is a static B-mode sonogram taken just a couple of weeks before I was born. It was still a rarity for people to have ultrasounds during pregnancy in the late 1970s and the information obtained was extremely limited.

Wow! This must be a new record. There was a cube of cheese in our hospital stairwell which lasted 17 days and I thought that was impressive!

This morning my 9 year-old asked why dogs have a little flap at the base of their ears. I have always wondered the same thing!
We did an Internet search & found out that it’s called Henry’s Pocket (proper name: cutaneous marginal pouch). No one has figured out its purpose with certainty?!
