It just feels weird because the roster is so close to being complete since it’s just lacking those last 3 characters and in one character’s case their absence is especially jarring considering how much love their game gets.

Tbf there are episodes that focus on that element (Knuckle Joe and Chilly in particaular.) I just wish that it was the focus of the show.
How cool would be that the big reason that Kirby is the chosen one to defeat Nightmare isn‘t because of his copy abilities but his ability to change others.

There are concepts I like about the Anime, but I can’t deny that its not good.
I feel like for the anime to be a good adaptation of Kirby, I think the series should’ve focused more on Kirby reforming the various monsters from NME rather than blowing them up most of the time.

As someone who does stuff with the ultimate models, I had to basically edit their textures to make them look a lot more vibrant due to the weird desaturated look that the game has.

I kind of roll my eyes when people take issue with a location from odyessy being used in a Galaxy movie but idk the desert levels in both Galaxy games are kind of bland so I don’t mind the inclusion here.

Tbf Gruntilda isn’t turning Tooty ugly because she wants to be pretty she’s turning Tooty ugly out of Spite because no one should be prettier than her. Grunty’s a trash person no matter how you slice it.

Honestly a lot about Louie’s character makes sense especially since his Grandmother says he was a quiet sheltered kid.
My current headcanon is that Louie’s mother sadly passed away when he was really young and his father immediately ditched his wife when she said she was pregnant.

I think the issue is that Waddle Doo is still inherently a game character at his core, it’s like Sword and Blade appearing alongside Meta Knight sometimes, basically making a nod to the Anime without being explicit. Escargoon is purely an anime character and usually the first one people think of.

I think it’s interesting that this is exclusively a Kirby problem, DK fans only suggest Bluster Kong as a possible surprise appearance in the series as a joke.

As someone who likes Escargoon he’s really the character that would fit best as the Anime Representation in the games (You don’t see Tiff and Tuff being clamored for as much as him despite being main characters). But even then I feel like Air Riders Doesn’t need him especially when there’s-

I’m curious to see what your thoughts are on the Pauline debate, specifically if you’re on Team Sequel or Team Prequel.
I‘m personally on team sequel because it creates such a perfect full circle moment for the DK franchise and it just feels like something Rare would do regarding Pauline.

This is even supported by Bananza Pauline most likely being a descendant of the Arcade Original (wether said version is Mayor Pauline or some random new lady character) and essentially being a new character, just like the modern Donkey Kong to bring the franchise full circle to usher in a new era.

But the same can apply to the Donkey Kong Arcade games which if we take the idea of the City world in DK94 being Big Ape City in Donkey Kong Land would lead to the same conclusion, Mario Odyessy is canon to the DKU but mostly exists as backstory for the main DKU games.

Honestly I can see that Odyessy is treated like the Arcade games and Star Fox 64 in the DKU, it mostly exists as backstory for Bananza in particular establishing New Donk City as a location and giving the basics for Pauline as a character only for Bananza to do their own new take on her.

I love the DK64 idle animation reference with Chunky, it perfectly sums up his character and I’m glad it somehow made it in.

It’s pretty good for what it is, being able to rematch ghosts in the gallery to get better ranks is a really nice QOL feature and like I said the aforementioned Mario and Toad Amiibo bonuses make the hidden mansion tolerable.

Unironically I prefer the 3DS hidden mansion mostly because of the Mario and Toad Amiibo’s making it a bit more tolerable with their healing pick ups. I still remember the safari room being awful though.

I think Air Riders approach is best they have Mook characters and fan favorites it surprisingly works Even with a way smaller roster.
