Someone needs to create a reader that isn’t a backlit tablet that allows you to buy ebooks from multiple stores. Sounds like a nice open source project for someone who knows what the hell they’re doing!

Hey @jasonschreier.bsky.social - Any clues about the state of the Chrono Trigger code base for PC/mobile? The fact that it was never ported to consoles is quite fishy, no?
That’s the thing: the updated Steam version is exactly that. Chrono Trigger was essentially the first pixel remaster. It seems like a lay-up to port that to the consoles!

Very few non-essential professions have unions. SAG/AFTRA is an anomaly aided by the fact that many members are quite wealthy.
While it would be great for game dev to be unionized, it would require very wealthy, influential folks stepping up. Here’s hoping!

I think the XBOX Gamepass subscription model experiment is failing because video games are different from movies/TV.
Any given movie has value to me way beyond it's release because enjoying it again is a small time commitment.
Modern games only have their full value at launch w/ high player count.
