This is far closer to government censorship than whatever people thought “cancel culture“ was. It was so gross to watch the mainstream media fall for that trope from the people most likely to actually do what they are doing now.
I was set to launch my book at the Carter Library next month.

This week, we were told all events now need approval from the National Archives. The next day, my event was forced to relocate.

A book about the working homeless. A book about civil rights. Apparently these topics are now off limits.
This is a shamefully racist movement that should be resisted by every person of good will.

@brian-goldstone.bsky.social’s forthcoming book is incredible and it’s honestly the archive’s loss (and the nation’s).
