I think campaign donors put the pressure on. No one wanted to lose a penny of profit, so the fix, as always, was in.

This is why I do not hold any hope for an elected-political solution. There is too much corporate capture in campaign finance.

The real background is the campaign contributors were losing profits. My question is which Dem donors made those calls and why?

I took a kapo out to see a movie
Ruined it with spoilers for us all
Roly-poly kapos are never seen doing the right thing
anytime anywhere, with either men or women
Yeah
Ask a kapo anything you want to
They can't answer, they can't think

Okay, I'm dating myself. IYKYK

Kapos, kapos, rolly polly kapos
Kapos, kapos, throw them out--Yuck
In the morning, laughing happy kapos
In the evening, lying in a grave
Ask a kapo anything you want to
They can't answer, they can't think

MSNBC reported Schumer's office felt that the longer that shutdown went on, the more likely it was that people would start to blame the Dems.

My kingdom for Democrats that don't govern out of fear. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The American people are far braver than their reps.

Who do you think made the Dems fold? Airlines? Food manufacturers? Wall Street? All of the above?

Sadly, that crew is either willfully blind, greedy or think they’re about to be raptured. Maybe all three.

“Coke-funded?” Come on, Mother Jones. You can’t expect AI transcription to get homophones correct every time. Educated proofreaders are still needed, thanks.
